keyboard shortcut for terminal in slackware using xfce
 
trying to get my terminal to launch with ctrl-alt-t through keyboard settings in xfce

have tried
terminal
terminalemulator etc etc

whats the name of the terminal in slackware...

Try 'exo-open --launch TerminalEmulator' without the quotes.

was looking everywhere for that....do you just know that...or did you google it...out of curiosity...and also
what terminal would you recommend to learn and use well...or are they a much of a muchness?

I din't "know it" what I did was I looked at the properties ( by a right click on the icon for Terminal ) for Terminal in xfce, on my slackware system, copied and pasted the command line.

What you need to learn is bash, the commands and how to do things there. Terminal is just the gui part. Bash is the default shell in slackware, there are others that you can run, and some users have their reasons for choosing a different shell.

i actually tried what you suggested...i think i copied the wrong part...i copied the name...not the command you posted...thanks its working now...
