Keyboard problems with Suse 9.0 Pro
I have a small problem with my keyboard and Suse Linux 9.0 Professional Ed. Everytime I boot my computer, my keyboard is not recognized properly. Yes, I installed it using the English (US) option during the YaST installation. However, some characters print out different then what they are supposed to be and someone suggested a way for me to rectify the problem, and it only works temporarily. For example, I have to go to the YaST setup to re-configure my keyboard to get it to work properly. Is there any other way to fix this problem without having to do this each time?
What the keyboard does: if I push "y" it comes out "z" and vice versa. And the characters above the numbered keys come out different then what is displayed, as well as other characters. Anyhelp would be great!! :) Frank |
Hmmm... this is really weird. Does it happens on every program? did you try openning diferent text programs and see how it behaves?
Did you try to set the proper config on kde control center? |
^^^ Just did what you mentioned about going into the control center, and it fixed my problem. Thanks! :D I'm a happy camper now.
