keyboard problems

I am using slack-ware and i have been switching between gnome and kde; i found that i like gnome better. It was right about this time that my keyboard stopped working, but it only stops working when I'm in gnome so I'm left to have to use kde. Any help would be appreciated

Do you get any sort of error messages regarding your keyboard when you log into gnome?

no, whats really strange is that the lights on my board turn off , like the caps and scroll lights turn off.still serching any help is appriaciated

have you tried the failsafe gnome session?
