Keyboard and Mouse not working at welcome screen???
Hey there. I'm obviously brand new to linux so I apologize for my ignorance. That being said, I need some help! I'm trying to finish my lab for CIS 105 which is the pre-req for most of the computer science courses offered at my Community College. My task was to install linux mint 17 through a VM workstation. All was going well until I made it to the welcome screen. Once at the welcome screen I see the 5 options;
Start Linux Mint Start in compatibility mode Integrity Check Memory test Boot from local drive I can't click on any of the options. Not with my mouse. Not with my keyboard. I'm literally one click away from beginning my first linux experience and I can't click Start Linux Mint. Please Please if you have had this issue let me know what you did to correct it. Thanks Ya'll |
you could simply wait until it times out and then starts the live distro automatically.
does your keyboard work then? is there something non-standard about your setup? |
Problem solved
So it turns out virtualization was turned off in my bios. Clicked it back on and presto I now have Linux up and running.
