keyboard and colors
my distro: rocklinux, shell:bash

1st question: i want to have my proper keyboard language installed. With rocklinux comes a configuration tool that loads the correct language map, but it doesn't seem to save these settings for the next boot. so in which file do i have to mess to get this correctly

2nd question: i want ls to show me colors. the colors used are a "LS_COLORS='.....' " entry in "set". "dircolors" outputs that correct entry to the screen. but how do i get that output from dircolors to make it to set? i tried things like dircolors > export and such. (but maybe never tried the right command).

thx in advance

try this ... that's what I have here and it works fine :

alias ls='ls --color=tty'

if color=tty doesn't work, try always or auto.

Hope it helps
