key layout and mouse

hello!

i just installed slackware linux 10.1 and im having two problems:

1- how can i change the key layout inside x? i have the right key layout when im not using x

2- i have a laptop... and i would like to use both the laptop mouse and a usb mouse, in installation i said i have a usb mouse so the usb mouse works but has no wheel (i know there's a guide to fix this) but the laptop touch mouse doesn't work, how can i fix this?

thanks!!!

1. Check your /etc/X11/xorg.conf - about halfway down look for:
Option "XkbLayout"
Make sure it's "us". Thtat will be the same as a standard 104-key keyboard (maybe 101)

2. Also in xorg.conf, go a little further down from the keyboard to the core pointers section. This is my setup for my usb mouse:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Protocol" "imps/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

The ZAxisMapping line enables the scroll wheel and it requires the imps/2 protocol.
