Kernel upgrade

I have installed dsl 3.4.11 and kernel is 2.4. The mouse is not working. I think that drivers are not there for mouse. So how can I change kernel to 2.6. My computer features are
1. RAM is 32 Kb.
2. HARD DISK is 720 Kb.
3. Processor is 80486.
4. No Network Card.

You will have to then, in that case of not having a network card, download the 2.6.x kernel on a separate computer, copy to removable media, and then compile and install from there. Now on a side note.... You do know that hardware is really old, correct?

Yes to which one? And by the looks of it, you probably don't have the capabilities to upgrade the kernel any higher.
