kernel updates and nvidia driver
When the Fedora 9 kernel version updates, I edit my boot grub file so it does boot the new kernel, but how much can the kernel update until it has an effect on the kmod-nvidia display driver package. So is it needed to eventually update the NVIDIA driver and kernel module to match it?

When you install a new kernel you will need to reinstall the Nvidia driver.

My kernel in Fedora 9 updated 3 times by the automatic updater, and I still use the same nvidia driver version. But now the udater seems to be in a loop about resolving dependencies.

Some distro's are doing that.
Updated Kubuntu and it works the same. Noticed during the upgrade it installed an nvidia kernel.
