kernel update on slackware 10.0

i im a noob in linux , i have slackware 10.0 , recently i bought a wireless card but slackware doesnt install it by itself. i read a little bit on internet and someone say thet the driver are enable on kernel 2.4 i have 2.2.26 so i think i must update kernel , but its chinesse for me can ne1 help plz

2.2.26 or do you mean 2.4.26?... You should really upgrade if it's 2.2.26. I would upgrade to the 2.6.*. I've been using it for some time now and havn't had any problems with it.

im not sure about kernel version its the one who came with slackware 10.0 instalation
