kernel-source.x.x.x.x.rpm vs. kernel.x.x.x.src.rpm

What is the difference between kernel-source.x.x.x.x.rpm and kernel.x.x.x.src.rpm?

The major difference between the files is the type. One is rpm file and another is srpm. Read the above links to understand what these files are.

Thanks Linuxlover. I was actually targeting the content of those files rather than the file format. Of course the file format has something to do with it.

Am I right if I say that kernel.x.x.x.src.rpm is basically the same as kernel.x.x.x.rpm, where the first has to be compiled while the other is precompiled?

How would kernel-source.x.x.x.x.rpm relate to the above?
