What is the difference between kernel-source.x.x.x.x.rpm and kernel.x.x.x.src.rpm?

Thanks Linuxlover. I was actually targeting the content of those files rather than the file format. Of course the file format has something to do with it.
Am I right if I say that kernel.x.x.x.src.rpm is basically the same as kernel.x.x.x.rpm, where the first has to be compiled while the other is precompiled? How would kernel-source.x.x.x.x.rpm relate to the above? |
