Smile Kernel Source? :S

[!] Can not find kernel source or even headers.
Make sure that they are installed (install with e.g. rpm or apt-get
if necessary) and ensure that you have read rights to the files.

I'm installing a driver and got this message... what do i do?!?
I'm very new to Linux so, what is a kernel??
(take it easy on me)

Thanks a lot

Linux is the kernel which along with other software makes a Linux distribution. As the message implies, make sure the sources for your kernel are installed.

hi,
check with rpm -qa | grep kernel-devel if you get any name there then its there, if not install appropriate kernel-devel for your OS
