kernel source

ok im trying to install gspcav1-20071224 it says

FATAL you need to install the Kernel Source for your running kernel

so i installed gspca modulues on synaptic and gspca source on synaptic then tried to do make config like it says in the read me to do and tells me

debian:/usr/src/gspcav1-20071224# make config
make: *** No rule to make target `config'. Stop

so im not sure what to do and wat the kernel source i need is

it is the kernel development headers (and possibly the sources too).
in fedora they are named "kernel-header" and "kernel-devel"

The package kernel-headers install files on /usr/include and the kernel-devel install files on /usr/src/kernels...

It says you are running debian in your profile so in that case, as root type:

apt-get install linux-kernel-headers
apt-get install linux-source-2.6.18 (replace with correct kernel version)
