The question that comes to my mind is - how can you be in the dark on the requirements for a class project?
What class are you in and what have you been learning up to this point to be able to make a directory locking program?
What does the project assignment say?
I don't believe that a teacher is going to hand you an assignment that says "create a program like cryptkeeper" without any other information. Such a request certainly isn't going to get you very far here... as we volunteer our time to help people - and we are not in the habit of writing class outlines or programs for people. That is your teacher's job and your responsiblity.
If you have a specific question regarding your assignment, and you have an example of what you have tried, and some error output, then you are more likely to get help. Help us help you!

1. we or at least most do not mind too much in helping you, but them that do not mind helping you need a LOT more information in what it is that is you actually are suppose to be doing. What you've stated is too vague.
2. furthermore, we do expect from you in a showing of good faith is some work you've done on your own to show us what it is you have already attempted.
if it is not homework then we still need more information about what exactly it is suppose to be doing, and what you have so far in trying to solve your own problem.
from the way you are asking it is showing us you want us to do all of your work for you. We do not get paid for work in here. He are here to help, not to do everyone's work for them.

We'd like to help you with your project. You just have to be more specific in what you want. If this is a college project can you share the actual description of the project? Perhaps we can first help you by helping you undertand what it is they are asking of you. From there we will be able to give real advice on your next steps.

And YOU need to get something things about this site:
Read the LQ Rules...don't post verbatim homework questions
Read the LQ Rules about text-speak, and NOT USING IT..it's "you", not "u", "with" not "wid"..."I'm", not "m", etc.
Want to insult folks? You'll get even less help than you are now
YOU, PERSONALLY, need to show us the effort/work/ideas you have put into YOUR HOMEWORK. Not getting "exactly what you need", isn't a problem, unless you're just plain lazy. Even if you get ideas and sample code, that shows you the way, so now it's time for you to actually WORK. What "tips" do you expect us to give you? You haven't shown us anything to give tips ON. You haven't said what language you want to write this in, or even really said WHY this is a 'kernel' program, and seem to have no idea at all about the college project you've been given. I agree with the others...never, EVER, was I handed an assignment from a teacher, where they didn't cover things beforehand, or at the very least, guide us towards resources.
Even if you're stuck and have an *IDEA* about where to start, that shows you're at least thinking and TRYING to do the work, and we'll all be glad to help. Otherwise, having your hand out saying "everbody is showing of their fuc***g knowlwdge", and then expecting to BENEFIT FROM THAT KNOWLEDGE while insulting those who have it, isn't a good idea.
