Kernel Panic Error!


Dear Team,

One of our server suddenly restarted after that while starting RHEL 5.4, we are getting below error messages.

WARNING: can't access (null)
exec of init ((null)) failed!!!: Bad address
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Anybody please help me out ...

looks like your disk is bad. or mb not

Nothing, am not able access rescue mode also its getting partitions not detecting..

try to boot from something else(like livecd) and mount your boot partition. probably partition table & fs is corrupted.

Try booting through Linux DVD in "linux rescue" mode
> create a directory and mount your "/" partition in it and check for your "/etc/fstab" files
> see if all the partition entries are done properly
> reboot
