kernel make menuconfig problem


Hi im having trouble with the make menuconfig i need to activate crc32 as a module so i can install ipw2100 but i cant activate it in my window of menu config crc32 appears

--- crc32

but no <> so i can put the M please someone tell me why that happen? and how can i fix it

Is there an item underneight it that says "CRC32c (Castagnoli, et al) Cyclic Redundancy-Check"? If so that is what you actually want to compile as a module. The "--- CRC32 functions" line is a header to show you that everything under it are CRC32 functions.. of course as of 2.6.10 I think CRC32c was the only supported function.
