I am getting fed up now with the installing of
NDISwrapper on opensuse 11 (KDE4). I begin my tryst yesterday with the installation but still unable to gety it done , it displays " the program 'kernel - headers ' is missing on your system ." I already have "linux-kernel headers " installed using yast pm.but it does not comes to my respite as yet . Can anyone get me out of this ditch???? |

Fedexpress in reply to your email...
actually it displays when i run the make command make -C driver make[1]: Entering directory `/home/fedexpress/ndiswrapper-1.53/driver' Makefile:34: *** Cannot find kernel version in /usr/src/linux-2.6.25.5-1.1-obj/i386/pae, is it configured?. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/fedexpress/ndiswrapper-1.53/driver' make: *** [all] Error 2 I have read too much about that i should install kernel headers , kernel sources, but yast already shows them , someone recommended that my kernel source might not be updated, actually i cannot devote too much of time to get internet working thru wifi , d-link DWA 510, chipset rt2561/RT61 , It sounds to me that the installer is assuming you have your kernel sources in "/usr/src/linux-2.6.25.5-1.1-obj/i386/pae" Try to edit the script(s) and edit the path to where your sources and kernel resides. I'm not a Suse user myself so I'm not sure where they keep them but I have encountered this type of error before. |
