I've now make a couple of changes to my /etc/rc.sysinit.

1) It now uses the english version of "Initiliaze"
2) It uses the right tense ("Initialised hardware")
3) Commented out the sound init loading part

So far bootup is flawless, though I haven't seen what happens if I try to play any sounds. Will keep you posted on anything else I discover/any problems.

EDIT: Found out that sound is removed from the system (error message once logged in about volume elements and soundcard detection works but sample sound doesn't play), though I suppose that was expected For the time being no sound is acceptable for my laptop but I would prefer it if it was working
