kernel dependencies

Hi, i didnt install the development packages when i was installing fedora 4 on my server. Now i want to reconfigure the kernel. First i installed gcc using "yum install gcc*" but when i type "make menuconfig" it gives me a bunch of errors. Im guessing that this is due to missing libraries. Does anyone know what libraries i need to install so i can reconfigure my kernel?

What errors is it giving you? Can you cite a couple of them?

The predominately obvious files have to do with dialog.h, which according to several google sites have to do with the pixmap or graphical display (it is part of the source code.) Are you running make menuconfig from the desktop or from a terminal (i.e. no GUI)?

You might try installing the kernel-devel files, and then running make menuconfig from a non-gui terminal, but I am afraid I haven't seen this error before. Hopefully, someone else has.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
