Kernel and ipchains
hi,
im trying to use the ipchains tool to give instructions to my Kernel 2.4. When trying this: ipchains -L input, it tells me the following: incompatible with this kernel know of any patch or something? thanks for u time i got ipchains 1.3.10 1-sep-2000 :newbie: |
i believe that you probably dont have ipchains support compiled into your kernel. try using iptables.

i think ipchains is pretty much retired now, its iptables in newer kernels.

how_?
yes,
i don't know if ipchains is compiled into my kernel. can i use iptables instead? does iptables work with the same funtions ? or maybe upgrade the ipchains tool? thanks for u reply ArOnG |
