Kernel 2.6.6 and Supermount

I compiled the 2.6.6 kernel last and I rebooted and it said mounting file system supermount failed not suppoeted by kernel. Did I compile something wrong?

supermount is if I remember correctly *not* in the mainstream kernel sources, so if you downloaded the sources from a kernel.org mirror and configured and compiled them without applying (and enabling!) the supermount patch you cannot use it. The latest available patch at the website is for Linux 2.6.2 but later kernels are supported by different hacks (it is included in the love patch set for instance).

So how does it work? Do you have to patch the kernel and then compile it? :newbie:
