nope, I tried all the options. Here is what I'm doing, I installed Slackware-current (which comes with xorg and kernel 2.4.26 as default) and the mouse works. After this I installed the kernel 2.6.6 from the testing directory in the slackware install disk, and I run make oldconfing and make modules_install etc. and the when I start kde, I have no mouse ( I also tried with the 2.6.6 from www.kernel.org and it doesn't work). If I use Slacware 9.1 the mouse works perfectly, could this be a slackware-current issue ?

Hello
Don't know if this is a problem of slackware.
After i installed Slackware(9.1) i needed to configure my XF86Config for my scroll wheel, i didn't had really a problem.
But what kind of mouse do you use?
If you use an usb mouse you should look /etc/rc.d/rc.modules because i thought there whas something about usb mouses.
Anyway Good luck
Hylke
