keeping root password in Mandrake 9.2

Every time I go to the Mandrake Control Center it asks me for the root password even if I check "keep password" same for every other app that requires root. It never keeps. How do I get it to actually keep?

Thanks.

this is by design, I'd assume.

Anything that can potentially mess up your system, such as the tools in MDK control, requires root access and it wants to make sure you're actually the root user.

I haven't used Mannie extensively so I'm not 100% sure, but there may not BE a way. And that's probably a good thing.

thanks for the comments. Why would it have the option to keep password if there was no way it would keep the password?

And I think there should be an option to 'enable advanced features' or something so those of us that know how to use the control panel can use it easier. But I supose I should be telling Mandrake that.

Or writing the feature.

It'd probably let you do it for a normal user, just not root - but you're right, it should grey out if unavailable.
