Keeping Java working

I worked quite a few hours to get Java downloaded, installed, and then plugged in. I finally got everything working yesterday. I rebooted the computer and now it doesn't work again.

The ln -s link is still in place and java is still turned on in my browsers, so how do you keep Java from going on holidays?

I have RH 9.0 and work with Galeon and Mozilla 1.2. It worked on both yesterday.

Suggestions?

Odd, very odd, It happened to me too!
Tip: Choose the libjavaplugin with the higher ns* number i guess it is ns610 or something,
try that and see if it works,
