Keep getting an error
 
Iḿ very new to this Ubuntu operating system. Iḿ using VER 12.10 installed and when I try to install any program I keep getting an error that states: ĻAn error occurred while loading the archiveĻ....What am I doing wrong?

Which program? Did you check if you're running that program with your own account of with root's account i.e. using sudo?
It'd be better if you share detailed error message.
