Question KDesktop & Konqueror - Error when logging in as normal user

i use fedora core 1.when i log in as normal user to KDE i get this error more times:

"Sorry - KDesktop

could not find mime type

if I press OK more times it dissapears, but if I want to start then Konqueror I get the same message:

"Sorry - Konqueror

could not find mime type

Again I have tot press OK for al least 5 times. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? It's only when I log in to KDE as normal user. As root everything works ok.

I don't really know what is wrong there but I'd check:
Control Center > KDE Componenets > File Associations > Application > octet-stream
at the moment mine says that it doesn't have any associations and that the description is unknown.

A long shot but also check your /etc/mime.types for the line:
application/octet-stream bin dms lha lzh exe class so dll

I'd tried to go Control Center > KDE Componenets > File Associations > Application > octet-stream, but I can't find any octet-stream
..and how do I check /etc/mime.types for that line?

sorry for that questions, but I'm really new to linux and I don't know a lot
