How are you compiling the test project? Have you created a makefile?

Hm? Anyways, what commands have you run? From the error you posted, it sounds like you ran

Code:
make myTestProject
Have you created a makefile?

If you want to be helped, stop complaining we're not getting paid to help you, and I tend to check LQ once everyday. So posting and then complaining a couple of hours later that you're not getting helped isn't going to encourage us to rush to solve your problems...

With regards to your problem, you never mentioned you were using KDevelop, so how were we to help you? Perhaps if you explained in more detail exactly what steps you followed (ie. actually tell us what you did) and copied and pasted everything which appears in the "Build Toolview", then I might be able to guess how to solve it.

However, if you just want to compile your programme, you can do that really easily from the command-line. The programme g++ compiles C++ programmes. So if your programme is "/home/user/programming/test.cpp" then you can compile and run it by typing the following commands into the terminal:

Code:
cd /home/user/programming
g++ test.cpp -o test
./test
Hope this helps,
