KDE Wallet Manager

What is KDE Wallet Manager?
What does it do?
I used it stored passwords....Is it safe enough?

If you are the only one with physical access to the computer then it is a safe procedure.

saving passwords with firefox !?

I don't know much about kwallet as I never used it (I tend to forget passwords if I do not use them, which is bad if you need to reinstall :-P)
Well, I use (since a few hours) Firefox 2, it allows to store the passwords and login details as well, but you need a major password to get through. I find this very help- and useful.
But I don't know how save it really is.
