KDE - Virtual Desktop Problem

Hi,

I have managed to configure my two graphic cards and monitors to work with my kubuntu distro, using KDE. However, although the screens are working as expected, the desktop size seems to be somewhat larger than the display resolution of the monitors. When you move the mouse to the extents of the monitor the desktop "scrolls" so you can see the part that is not shown. It's a bit like I have a 1280x1024 display resolution, but the desktop size is something like 1380 x 1124 or whatever,.

This problem is occuring on both the monitors, and doesnt happen when I disable dual screens. Both graphic cards are nVidia based (pci Xpress 6100 and pci Xpress 6200 DDR).

Does anyone know anything about whether KDE or nVidia supports "virtaul desktop" sizes and where to disable them?

Thanks very much for you time!

Apologies, this seems to be an X server configuration problem rather than a KDE specific thing. I have trawled through various HOWTOs about this but dont seem to see the solution! I just dont understand how my turning on two monitors my desktop has a larger virtual area than fits on the screen! Both monitors are identical.

Thanks, I managed to resolve this issue. Both my monitors are now working a treat! In the end I backed up my xorg.conf file, ditched it, and reconfigured it all from scratch. I think the KDE display manager had managed to knacker it up somehow..

Cheers
Arzer
