run kmenuedit in the console/terminal. It will open a program that will let you edit almost everything in the menu. If you are annoyed with how kde looks, you can give it a complete overhaul by installing stuff like superkaramba etc.. more information: http://www.kde-look.org/

If you right click on an icon and select "properties", there is an option to change the icon by clicking on the icon image from the dialogue box that pops up and then choosing another.

This works for Quick Launch, but not for System Tray.

This might solve my questions about how to hack a girl but I still couldn't find the way to change the system tray icon. The more I look for it the more it get complicated. For example ;I try to change superkaramba bomb system tray icon and I haunted down into ~/superkaramba/src/skicon.xmp ;I try change that but it doesn't work .Then I change the skicon.xmp (bomb icon) to my choice with same same size (24x24 pix) but slightly a little bigger in size (3kb) and recompile it but it would not compile anymore and I found out in their forum that the the source code wouldn't compile by changing it system tray icon.Another one I manage to change is kompose .I just run the search for it in my computer and I found 2 place for it png file one in ~/kde3.4/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/kompose.png and another one in it's24x24 folder.I am using different icons than hicolor but kompose seem to take it's system tray icon from hicolor icons folder.I am really confuse ,it there a standard procedure for system tray icons or each have it own rule?
