KDE question

I just switched from GNOME to KDE everytime I startup it bring up a few windows that weren't there when I exited is there a save on exit choice somewhere, also sometime my sound schemes aren't set on startup when I KNOW they were set and applied on exit. whats up with that? is KDE buggy?

Above the buttons, there is a option to save session for future logins. Check that.
