KDE opens an infinite number of views of my Home folder
When launching into KDE (on SuSE 8.2 ), my Home directory opens to display it's contents again and again and again.
I did note the window was open at least 250 times before the screen was too unreadable. My PC then freezes and is unusable (understandably I guess) so I have to reset to switch it off. GNOME is fine. |
Somethings corrupted, possibly a session file. try removing the contents of ~/.kde/share/config/session.

Thanks

Its not the session file, its ~/.kde/share/config/ksmserverrc. Edit so that there is only one session like kwin.

Oh well, in attempting to delete the contents of ~/.kde/share/config/session I messed something up and KDE went a bit funny. Howerver I uninstalled KDE and reinstalled it and all works fine now.
I had uninstalled KDE and reinstalled it before attempting the above but it made no difference. So thanks as you did enable me to get back to normal. |
