KDE + Openbox = no application menus and no default programs.

So basically I like to run KDE/openbox sessions and they're great...except after installing openbox KDE no longer has any programs in it's menus, krunner only works with the full terminal command to launch a program, and there are no options for choosing default programs.

If anyone could help with getting this fixed it's greatly appreciated because my search has come up fruitless with nothing but 2004 or so methods of fixing KDE which don't work.

So I'm the only experiencing this problem? Or am I the only one that uses KDE/openbox?

Oh no, you're not the only one trying Openbox. I did. It didnt' work. I left it.
