Exclamation kde not loadin in mandrake 10


when i installed mandrake 10 kde worked with one cd installed.but when 3 cd's were installed kde didnt work.it stopped when initialising the pheripherals.please help me.
system configuration is athlon 2400+,asus a7n,realtech lancard,512 ddr,graphics gforce 2

Give a little more info.

When you see the KDE init screen, when it indicates that it is loading peripherals, does the machine freeze or does KDE crash back to shell? Do you get an error? How do you have to recover from it?
