Question kde locking up on start up

I installed Red Hat linux 9 yesterday. Things went really great. I used Gnome and KDE last evening. Today when I try to log in with KDE it keeps locking up at loading windows. Any ideas what may be the culprit? I even went back in and reinstalled the KDE packages. Still the same problem.
Hope someone has an answer.

What system are you running it on ?
If you have an old system it will probably need an older verison of linux...
