Exclamation KDE header files

I have Slackware 8.0 on the 2.4.5 kernel, and i run X with KDE. Whenever i try to ./configure some programs, all goes well until it gets to "checking for KDE header files installed"

then it says:

configure: error: your system is not able
to compile a small KDE application!
Check, if you installed the KDE header files correctly.

How do i fix this? Yes, i installed all the QT and KDE packages and whatever during installation.

This more than likely means that youa re trying to compile a KDE 1.X application on a KDE 2.X.

I was having this same problem before. It looks like the KDE folks made a couple of changes that prevent certain older packages from compiling. This is something that I would discuss with the maintainers of the failing packages.

I am not completely sure if this is the problem, but it always happened on older packages and never on newer ones.

Good Luck
