kde FC 16 wireless network applet question.

I installed kde netowork applet on panel was able to control wireless network card.
I was removing extra software I removed that applet too.
Now I had to reinstall kde. Now applet can only turn the wireless card off.

How ever If I use command line

ifconfig wlan0 up

iwlist walan0 scanning

iwconfig wlan0 essid NAME key XXXXX
dhclient wlan0

Wireless starts working.

But for some reason network applet wont work, scanning utility in network applet wont work but

iwlist does.

Any ideas ?

Try using the kpackagekit tool to install wicd or knetwork ??? (name). Also try using wireshark. It can be quite helpful.
