Question KDE desktop changer on the toolbar?

Hi everyone,
This might be a really simple question, but I'm running Winlinux 2001 with KDE 2.1 and I've set up multiple desktops, but I can't seem to get those to appear on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen like I see in many screenshots. Just to clarify, I mean those little snapshots of your multiple virtual desktops on the toolbar that allows you to switch between them quickly (I believe Gnome also has this feature).

ohhh ... just realized this thread is over 3 years old ... hehe ...

btw answer to second question is:

right click on panel --> configure panel --> taskbar --> show windows from all desktops

check/uncheck this box to show windows of only the desktop you are on or all desktops
