hi. i only had this problem today that when i clicked at KDE session to login... there is an error message saying that "could not start kdeinit or something. Please click at failsafe to fix the problem"
can someone pls tell me why am i facing this where by all along i don't hv this problem and how to pursue this matter?
Please provide specific information if you'd really like some help. The exact error message for instance. What distro are you using? Did you follow the instructions given to try and fix the problem?
oops sori ppl. i m using Fedora Core 3. I did not try to fix the problem. however there is no problem when i clicked at the default system to login or gnome.
Please understand it's impossible to tell you how to fix a problem without knowing exactly what the problem is. You are not supplying enough information to even begin to troubleshoot this problem.
The EXACT error message would be helpful. Are you using gdm or kdm to log in to X?
Have you recently changed/added/removed anything from your system?
You could try deleting /home/yourhomedirectory/.kde and see if that fixes it. Sometimes this works.
