KDE autostart

I want to run: freepopsd -t 7& automatically on the load of KDE. I created a simple bash script to run the command and put it in the autostart directory, yet it still doesn't load automatically, I have to run it manually. With other distros I could use the program's -d flag to daemonize it, but that doesn't work here on openSUSE. Not a mod issue, everyone has at least read and execute on the script.

I have noticed that saved sessions don't automatically start, but never had problems with Autostart files. You might want to try adding it into your kde menu, starting it there (and make sure that only programs you want running at start are running) then use the save session button in kde menu. You miight need to go into control centre - session manager and set it to always start saved session to enable the button though.

I used the cheat script to daemonize, worked like a charm, now if I could find a way to use metacity on KDE so I can have crux look without running metacity --replaace I'll be one more step towards making this linux box exactly what I want it to be like.

Thanks,
