kde and gnome
 

if i have both installed, how do i start either for terminal? because i boot into text mode. before i only have kde so i just type
startx
and it starts, but if i have both, what do i do?

create a file called .xinitrc in your home directory and add startgnome, then use startx to start kde use kde or edit .xinitrc to say startkde
