I'm getting just a wee bit fed up with the file chooser dialogue that opens in Firefox.
For info, I'm running Linux Mint 17.3 KDE (that's KDE version 4.14.2) and Firefox 47.0+linuxmint1+rosa.
The problem is that the file chooser dialog is pretty difficult to use. The dialogue, for example, shows Places and Devices in the left-hand pane but these are unclickable.
Moreover, when I choose a file, it goes into selection area mode and then, when I click on Esc, it goes into file drag copy mode. Each time I have to hit a sequence of escapes and single clicks to try and get it to behave. Selecting multiple files is a Herculean task.
From reading on the internet, it appears that this is the fault of Firefox who have chosen not to integrate with the KDE file chooser, although Chrome reportedly does so fine.
I did try installing firefox-kde-support through the PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~blue-shell/+a...tu/firefox-kde, but it made no difference.
Have any of you out there using Firefox on KDE4 worked out a solution to this, or am I just going to have to live with it?
