KDE 3 problems in centos.

I have just installed Centos on a 600mhz Sony Vaio with 200 mbs of ram. KDE is playing fine, however i cant find the kde options. Like how would i turn on or off the higher graphics that are packaged in with kde. I read on some other forums that i go to Applications, preferences, then control center/panel and then kde options or such. I am missing a control center/panel button under my preferences, help someone?

Also, would i be able to play all the cool graphical effects in kde on a 600 mhz laptop with 200mbs of ram?

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

I'd strip down the gimmicks to bare minimum on that machine :}

If you can't find ControlPanel in the menus try running it from
a shell: kcontrol

And: why did you choose a server distribution with a very limited
set of available packages for your notebook? :}

Cheers,
Tink
