Question KDE 3.1.1 made terminals use bash as default?

Ok, I have just installed slackware 9 and upgraded kde to 3.1.1, before when I went to use a terminal it would come up showing user@host#- or whatever but after I upgraded kde to 3.1.1 every time I start any terminal it says bash_2.0.5#.... Why does it use bash now and is there any way to change that? It's kind of annoying b/c I can't see what directory I'm in and I don't know the commands for it? Thanks for any help.....

There are two environment variables, called
PS1 and PS2, that mostly define what your
prompt looks like ...

They are usually set from /etc/profile, but you
can change the behaviour by modifying you
.bashrc and/or .bash_profile in your home.

Try this from the LDP (Linux Documentation Project Bash-Prompt-HOWTO

Of course, you may want to try a mirror near you.
