kde?


i got introduced to linux by knoppix 3.6. and really liked the layout a lot.
i want rid of windows given the choice, i want to use the KDE desktop enviroment. NEWBIE question "is kde on all distributions" or "if not can you install on all linux distributions? cheers for any help

Yes you can install it on any distribution. It's not on any distribution default though.

Of course, if it is not in a distribution, you can install it. But just show me a GNU/Linux distribution that not provide it...

As far as I know all the main distributions contain KDE, though I think (and a FC2 user can correct me if I'm wrong) Fedora defaults to Gnome.
