Kali Linux: Installing an .exe
I know this has probably been answered umteen times but I will ask anyways.
I'm attempting to install a game in Kali Linux. I've installed wine and have attempted to run the .exe to no evail. I have root permission and the correct flags are presented to me (I am able to read/write whatever). I understand that wine does not run every exe from Windows. Any information you need me to provide I will. The game is Fairyland. Website is Fairyland.lagernet.com. I am running Hp Probook 4530s laptop. Umm, Kali Linux 1.0.6. I'm not exact;y sure what I should provide to get the best help. Anyways thank you for replying.

Kali is a specialised distro. You might be better off with a general-purpose distro, such as Mint. Maybe dual-boot with Kali, if you need it.

I know Kali is a specialised Pen Test distro, but credentially wise, I was hoping to be able to download a few exe's. As for adding WINE it was fairly simple and staigthforward which I thought would resolve the problem. Overwrite a few lib. files and Wine runs fine. I will have to divulge further into what needs to be added for the EXE I guess.
