Hey SilentJustice - this is odd. A suggestion: I just fired up my Virtualbox installation on a Windows 10 session and realized I hadn't updated it in quite a while - I was still on 5.0.16. I updated to 5.1.14 and reinstalled the extension pack - all went well. I realize you have other VMs running successfully on your VB host, so I don't want to suggest anything that would destabilize that, but make sure you're up to date. One of the disadvantages of running VB on Windows is that you have to remember to update the versions yourself. So maybe reinstalling the current (5.1.14) version of VirtualBox and its extension pack may help.

then " test in " and buy the training if you pass the testing
Hi there! I've come across the same problem when installing Kali Linux VB image on my Windows machine. After clicking "continue" on the window that reads "An installation step failed. You can try to run the failing item again from the menu, or skip it and choose something else. The failing step is: Install the system", I just clicked on "Partitions" and deleted every partition- then redid the regular routine steps in setting up. Worked like a charm.
this is because you are trying to race a formula 1 RACE CAR before you ever got a drivers license and before you learned to drive
can you use this without the proper training ?
-- a steering wheel --
web page
that is Kali !!!!!
a normal everyday desktop OS is a "ford tours" or a "ford f 250 truck ( rhel6&7 ) "
and not a race car
first thing is to read and reread the kali documentation !!
then re reread the documentation

there are also "workshops"
but
you really will need the experience level of about a masters in computer sciences specializing in linux
