SOLVED kaffiene-mozilla plugin not working

I've installed the w32codecs package. I've installed kaffeine. It plays wmv's fine. I installed (through apt-get) the plugin called "kaffiene-mozilla" it is saposed to make streaming wmv's and asx files play from kaffiene whenever they are on a web page. (in the mozilla web browser.)

I tried it last night. The streaming wmv trys to play in totem.

How can I make the streaming wmv play in kaffiene, in mozilla?

I used apt-get to install the plugin, so I know it installed all the dependancies.

I'm running Ubuntu.

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

Edit: do i need to install mozplugger for this plugin to work?

Edit:

I did some googleing and figured out how to fix this.

1. in the mozilla address bar I typed

about:plugins

Press enter.

It showed that the totem plugin was saposed to handle wmv. Under the totem plugin information, it showed the kaffiene plugin information and that kaffiene could handle wmv.

I found a forums site where it said to delete the totem plugin files.

Exit mozilla

2. right click on a wmv file, (one thats on your hard drive) open with..., then, custom

3. type in

kaffiene

Play the file, then exit kaffiene.

4. Go to the root terminal

cd ..

Until you get to /

then

rm /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem_mozilla.so

press enter

rm /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem_mozilla.xpt

press enter

That deletes the totem plugin.

5. Open mozilla and run

about:plugins

Press enter.

It should only show the kaffiene plugin, not the totem one. At this point, kaffiene worked through the mozilla browser. :)

And I did not need mozplugger :)
