k3b errors ... what to do

Hi. After updating my k3b (so that i can support dvd burning), k3b came up with several system configuration problems.

i fixed 2/4 with tars and rpms from the internet, and i think i should be able to do the rest, but i dont know what to do with them. here is the error:

====================================

Used growisofs version 4.1 is outdated
K3b needs at least growisofs version 5.10 to write dvds. All older versions will not work and K3b will refuse to use them.
Solution: Install a more recent version of growisofs.

No support for ATAPI with cdrdao
You will not be able to use all your reading devices as copy sources since there is at least one not configured to use SCSI emulation and your system does not support ATAPI with cdrdao.
Solution: The best and recommended solution is to enable ide-scsi (SCSI emulation) for all devices. This way you won't have any problems.

=====================================

I tried to find a "new version of growisofs" but the only thing i found came with a dvd+rw package that i already installed ( i had to make and make install on it -- this got rid of the dvd+rw error but left me with this growisofs error). What should i do here?

and i dont even know what the second one is asking of me

thanks
