k12linux and windows 2003 dhcp server
I have a test lab where I was able to successfully install k12linux and have it working as an ltsp server for thin clients.
I would like to move that server to my live network. I read many forum posts and howto's on how to configure my k12linux to push dhcp to the next server, the windows 2003 dhcp server, and then for the windows 2003 dhcp server to give the tftp info to the thin client to contact the k12linux server.
I have had no luck mixing the k12linux server and windows 2003 dhcp server.
K12linux Server
Eth1(live network, internet) - 172.16.0.98 255.255.255.0
Eth0 - bridged to ltspbr0
ltspbr0 - 172.31.100.254 255.255.255.0
Windows 2003 Dhcp Server
Eth0(live network, internet) - 172.16.0.5 255.255.255.0
On the 2003 dhcp server, I changed the following options in the dhcp scope:
017 Root Path : /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386
066 Boot Server Host Name : 172.31.100.254 (also tried 172.16.0.98)
My Questions?
1. Do I need to install a tftp server on my 2003 dhcp server? (don't think it's needed)
2. Where can I find details about scope option 211?
