just downloaded ubuntu it is asking for a password and user at log in?
I have just burnt ubuntu to a cd and am trying to use it on a seperate laptop it boots fine but then asks for a user and password i have not set up anything like this
All i did was burn the downloaded iso file to a disk and put it into my laptop i was never prompted to put in a password or user name it just simply went straight to the log in screen.
i have tried shutting down and restarting but i still come up with the log in any ideas??
Done installation from USB. Went very smooth. No errors. Now downloading XUbuntu because Ubuntu is running quite slow on it. The laptop is quite old. Only 256 RAM.
There has been a bug on some systems for quite a while. Some posts go back to version 8. I did see this issue myself and was confounded also until I read up on it. I think it was an issue with the video chip. I can't remember if there was even a work around.
